The Dark Lines

In the Universe, there must be balance between light and darkness. If the balance tips, the Universe will cease to exist.

Light and darkness each have their representatives, “forces” if you will, fighting an everlasting war. The forces of light want to maintain the balance of the Universe. The forces of darkness want the balance to tip so the Universe will be destroyed.

But the forces of light and forces of darkness aren’t the only ones fighting. Our world has been dragged into the war, and humans are chosen–or sometimes volunteer–to work for one side or the other. In addition, to wage battle in our world, forces of light sometimes incarnate as human beings. These forces of light in human form are each destined to destroy a specific force of darkness. If the force of light in human form loses, they cease to exist.

If they win, they cease to exist; otherwise the balance between light and darkness will tip.

In the young adult urban fantasy series The Dark Lines, readers will meet Topher James and Blake Walker, two teenage boys who fight for the light. Not necessarily because they want to, but because they believe they must.

From the present to the past, and then to the future, the series follows Topher, Blake, and their family and friends through generations of the war.

It all begins at an old railroad bridge called simply the Black Bridge. Those who cross it are never the same.
